Although a bit steep in price, it performs as advertised. I have owned a 7000 series Braun and was getting fed up with the amount of times it took going over my chin, neck and area below the ear on the jawbone. This razor did an excellent job in a minimal amount of time with a close shave I haven’t experienced in years. I highly recommend this shaver if you can handle the price.

In the case of this shaver, the hype really does match reality. The shaver is by far the best electric I’ve ever used, and it’s very nicely engineered–from the ergonomics of the shaving unit to the self-cleaning/lubricating mechanism that comes with the shaver. It’s a bit pricey, but you get your money’s worth out of this one.

I have owned an older model Braun for over four years now. It shaves better than any strait edge I ever used. It shaves so well that even at 5 PM, there is no noticeable stubble. I just bought the new 9595 model and have used it five times. The shave is now even greater and the irritation to skin is almost zilch. What an improvement over the old model which I thought was superior to anything at the time. Model 9595 is costly but through Amazon, I got it for over $70 less than list price.

I’m not one to rave about a product but this thing exceeded my expectations by a mile. Shaving with it feels like moving a spoon across your face, it’s that comfortable. I have had several high end Norelco’s which always shaving my skin and left lot’s of stubble unless you pressed hard and moved it in little circles the whole time. I had to plan on shaving a day ahead for healing time for the rash and redness to go away if I had an important meeting. It is noisier then my other electrics but it’s a pleasant hum. A first class product that shaves about 90% as close as a blade.

I’ve owned many electric razors over the years, all rotary (Norelco). I stopped using them as they just couldn’t get the job done giving me a close shave, especially in the tough areas such as the neck. I was skeptical at first, but after the rave reviews I read here on Amazon, and the consumer reports, I decided to give the Braun Pulsonic a try. In short, it is the best electric razor I have ever owned. It shaves every bit as close as the Gillette Fusion razor. I actually look forward to shaving. I usually don’t shave during the weekend, but now my wife thinks somethings up because now I do. I wholeheartedly recommend this razor.

Norelco 7310XL Reflex Plus Cord/Cordless Electric Shaver was a Norelco fan with higher cost units. Then went to a razor. The cost of blades and disposables got me back to this 7310. It works great, confortable shave, no nicks. Seems to me the blades turn slower than my previous Norelco. Takes alittle longer to get the job done. Enjoy the ability to wash the unit in water. Better for me than using a brush to clean out the cut hairs. Works for me.

I’ve been using Norelco corded razors for over 10 years. My 715RL (worked great) finally died and this one was being heavily advertised at $20 off for the Thanksgiving holiday at $29.99 so gave it a try. It’s very quiet compared to others I’ve owned, but the 7310xl also shaves considerably slower. Also a little more complicated to clean with the tilting blades. Haven’t used one of the pricier models, so can’t comment on those. I actually use 2 Norelcos (one in each hand) to speed up the shaving process.

This is my third electric after having two mid-priced Remington shavers. Decent shave and comfortable, the trimmer on the back doesn’t seem to cut as close as my previous razors, and unlike the Remington’s which flip the trimmer in and out with one switch this razor pops the trimmer out with a switch then you have to push it back in. Not that that’s really a big deal. The one weird thing about it is it has two bright green LED’s on the front which are steady when it’s charging and then blink furiously once it’s charged. The majority of the time it just sits plugged in in the bathroom, so it’s usually charged and flashing away. Really it makes more sense to me to have it flash while charging then steady when it’s done. Anyway if you don’t mind waking up to go in the middle of the night and having your bathroom strobing green like a rave party then it’s a good shaver.

I have used 3 different Norelco electric shavers and this is a bottom line shaver. After going on a trip, I lost my previous Norelco and had to get a replacement. I figure getting this as a value shaver. You really do get what you pay for. The entire construction seems flimsy and plastic-ie. At least, my previous shaver had some metal parts and had some real weight to it. Anyhow, the shaving head speeds seem to be slower than usual, but for me, it gets the job done. The trimmer is comparable with my previous one. Finally, the water cleaning function is nice. I would recommend this as a backup or travel shaver and just spend more for a top of the line shaver.

I recently replaced my Panasonic ES8097A with this model, which is about half the price of the Panasonic. This Philips model is quieter than all linear blade razors that I’ve used. The first charge on the battery actually lasted 23 days for me, although I’m a pretty easy shave. The battery dies suddenly and then you can plug it in to finish a shave (with full power to it). The shave is close enough that I no longer do a manual shave once a week and this model does a great job on my neck compared to previous linear blade systems as well. For ~$45, this is a great deal so far.
