Sonicare HX6932/10 Flexcare electric toothbrush. The FlexCare uses the newly designed ProResults brush heads with increased tooth coverage and a broader sweeping motion that results in better plaque removal. The ProResults brush heads come in two sizes: “standard” for a regular cleaning, and “mini” for precision in hard-to-reach areas. The toothbrush handle also has a new tapered design that is easier to grip, and with a non-slip soft grip for better control. Compared to the Sonicare Elite, the FlexCare is 30 percent smaller, 16 percent lighter, and has 80 percent less vibration, but achieves superior results. The FlexCare offers maximum flexibility with your teeth cleaning. There are three two-minute brushing modes that offer “Clean” mode for full power and optimal cleaning, “Sensitive” mode for gentler brushing in sensitive areas, and “Massage” mode for a stimulating, soothing cleaning action. The FlexCare also offers two routines: “GoCare” is a quick one-minute routine for between regular brushings, and “MaxCare” is a three-minute cleaning mode that combines two minutes of “Clean” mode with one minute of “Massage” mode. The specially engineered UV sanitizer helps to eliminate harmful bacteria commonly found on your toothbrush. Simply place the brush head in the FlexCare sanitizing unit, and with a single push of a button, your brush will be clean down to the bristles. I have used sonicare products for years and have progressively moved up the product line. This new Flexcare model is as they say, lighter, sleeker, smaller, but they did not mention its also louder than any other model. I did a side by side comparison using my older elite 7300 and the new flexcare model is much louder and raspier than the older unit. I called Sonicare today and they confirmed that the flexcare model is louder, but has less vibrations in the hand. Big deal. I expected it to be much quieter. My dislike with the previous Sonicare models was the large screw-on brush head that always got a gunky biuld up inside of it. No more,the brush head is completely new and similar to the Oral-B type. The brush head now just snaps on. So say goodbye to the gunky,icky biuld up in the brush head and handle on the pevious models. Bottom line, it’s a fantastic product but a little noisier!
I was really skeptical about this toothbrush because it has a lot of characteristics I don’t like: needs recharching, expensive consumables (replacement brushes), additional features I don’t want (UV compartment.) After using it for a week, I have to say the results are amazing and I’m thrilled enough with the results to take the time to post this review. I am an ardent brusher (2x daily), flosser (1x daily), and mouthwasher (1x daily, after flossing), but this toothbrush does a better job than I ever did. All the feedback I’ve read about “as clean as a dentist visit” match my experience. What surprizes me most is that I’ve even noticed a decrease in “morning breath.” Using this thing is a little scary at first because it buzzes like an orbital sander. I was really worried because I have rather tender gums with some receeding gum lines; I was surprized that this brush doesn’t hurt me anywhere.
I’m a lazy person when it comes to dental hygiene. Genetically I’ve been blessed with good teeth but my mouth chemistry promotes plaque and my gums suffer (deep pockets). As a result I would require regular cleanings every four months. And every few years I need the expensive deep gum cleaning treatment ($300.00+). My dentist suggested I try the new Sonicare Flexcare tootbrush that he sells for retail. I said I would think about it and found the same model elsewhere for far less. Anyway this brush completely turned around my dental health. My gums no longer bleed, teeth feel polished everyday, and notice a slight whitening effect. And no more plaque build up on the back of my lower teeth! On my last dental checkup my dentist was amazed at the results. He stated that I can go back to a six month cleaning schedule. My gum pockets are back to normal! This tootbrush is excellent!
